Designing for Cebu’s Biggest Pitch: Crafting the Official Merchandise & Kits for the 17th THIRSTY? Football Cup
When passion for design meets local sports culture, the results are always something special. Beyond our daily custom apparel runs, getting the opportunity to outfit major athletic events is where our creative and manufacturing capabilities truly shine.
We had the privilege of designing and producing the official kits, event banners, and promotional merchandise for one of the most anticipated sporting events in the region: the 17th THIRSTY? Football Cup right here in Cebu.
The Design Concept: Vibrant, Playful, and Uniquely Cebuano
For a tournament as dynamic as the THIRSTY? Football Cup, a standard, monochromatic sports kit just wouldn’t cut it. The brand identity of THIRSTY? Juices & Shakes is all about energy, health, and refreshment, so the design needed to burst with the same vitality.
To build an aesthetic that felt both athletic and deeply rooted in our home island, we incorporated several core design layers:
- Custom Doodle Art Pattern: Instead of basic geometric shapes, we hand-crafted an intricate doodle collage across the lower torso and merch gear. Look closely, and you’ll spot vibrant tropical fruit motifs—nodding to the main brand’s iconic juice and shake roots.
- Cebu Landmarks & Cultural Heritage: Woven right into the doodle pattern are recognizable Cebuano elements, including the historic Magellan’s Cross kiosk, local flora, and island-inspired iconography. It gives the players gear that represents local pride on and off the field.
- High-Energy Colorway: We paired bright citrus yellow and splashy orange with deep green base tones and royal blue raglan sleeves—ensuring the athletes stand out instantly on the green pitch.
From Concept to Complete Event Merch Kit
Design on a screen is one thing, but translating complex full-color artwork into high-performance athletic gear requires precise dye-sublimation and material selection.
We brought this theme to life across a full line of custom gear for players, fans, and organizers:
- Official Performance Kits: Lightweight, moisture-wicking jerseys designed to keep players cool under the Cebu heat, featuring crisp event logos, sponsor branding, and full sublimation printing.
- Trucker Caps: Panel-printed caps featuring the signature Cebuano doodle graphic on the front crown, complete with breathable mesh backings.
- Cinch Drawstring Bags: Durable athlete gear bags showcasing the central tournament badge set against the vibrant orange-and-green splash layout.
- Event Banners & On-Field Graphics: Oversized high-impact visual banners to set the energy across the venue grounds during match days.
Fueling the Local Sports Scene
Seeing hundreds of athletes running down the pitch wearing designs created right in our shop is an incredible feeling. The THIRSTY? Football Cup isn’t just a tournament—it’s a massive gathering of youth, amateur, and veteran football talent from across the country.
